This page explains how to delete your The Loop account and everything attached to it.
In the app, which is quickest
Open The Loop, tap Settings, then Your data, then Delete my account. It takes effect immediately.
Or ask us
Write to support@theloopidle.com from the email address you signed in with, and say you want your account deleted. We ask you to write from that address because it is the only way we can tell it is your account you are asking about. We will confirm within thirty days, usually much sooner.
What is deleted
Your account record and everything stored against it: your email address or sign-in identifier, your record of what you have bought, any saved game you copied to the cloud, and any files you uploaded. This is removed and not recoverable.
What is not
Deleting your account does not undo a purchase made through Apple or Google. Everything The Loop sells is a one-time purchase, so nothing keeps renewing after the account is gone; but the purchase still belongs to that store account, and Restore Purchases will bring it back. Deleting the account only removes our record of it. A refund is Apple's or Google's to give, under their own policies.
Anything stored only on this device stays on this device. Your saved game is on-device by default and is only in the cloud if you put it there, so unless you did, it was never ours to delete and was never sent to our servers in the first place. Uninstalling the app removes it, as does the reset option in the game's settings.
Anonymous usage statistics, if you agreed to share them, are not linked to your email address or your account and cannot be traced back to it, so they are not removed by deleting your account. They are kept for twelve months and then deleted. Error reports are kept for ninety days and carry nothing that identifies anyone.
Records we have to keep, such as a receipt for a payment, are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires and are not used for anything else.
